Cybersex is so rampant all over the net that the term in itself has been very common to people especially to the young adult age group. Given that people do have this sexual part in them whether we like it or not, cyber sex enables us to release the urge and sexuality much safer than doing the actual sex. Needless to say, the lack of touching makes both parties 100% safe from disease which is why despite of the limitation, some people actually prefer it.

Cybersex paved the way for sexual prostitution to take it a step further. With almost every household having at least one computer and an internet connection all over the world, it is just very sensible for these prostitution businesses to penetrate the adult video/ cybersex market. What these organizations and countries are fighting for sure is understandable although for the sake of fairness they should not easily be condoned. Circumstances can be proven to be very vague sometimes and sexual actions both cyber and actual definitely are not always forced. For a non-physical sexual activity such as cybersex even if a woman or a man is paid for it, it is never easy to press charges because the lack of actual touching already questions the element of sexual prostitution in itself. The discretion of both parties and the maturity in regards to age by both parties should also be taken into account.

Just recently, a cybersex related case has made quite the noise in the Philippines wherein two foreign nationals were prosecuted to serve time for human trafficking of Filipinas from all over the Philippines to do cybersex services to foreigners. Other countries particularly the western ones are by far more lenient to this issue compared to the Philippines and such strict imposition alone made a lot of questions to be raised whether the decision that was made for these two foreign nationals were just. Perhaps amidst all these progress and vast possibilities, it would be wise if we remain truly vigilant of what is going on around us for what is completely legal and logical to us may not be so for others.
